The list of entries in the 2024 Radio Today Podcast Awards continues to grow … but we’re edging ever closer to the Earlybird deadline.

If you pay before midnight, Sunday June 16, you can save $51 on your entry fee.

After that, the fee goes up to $150.

This year, there are 40 categories from which to choose, and a trophy up for grabs with your name on it – worthy of any pool room!

Here’s another snapshot of the contenders:

Diary of the Hot Mess Mammas

Category: Best New Podcast

Nicole – who co-hosts the Diary Of The Hot Mess Mammas podcast – tells Radio Today why she submitted an entry in the AFTRS-sponsored Best New Podcast category.

“A chance to have the podcast listened to by seasoned professionals is the reason I’ve entered our newly created podcast,” she says. “Filling out the entry form, it was a great tool to take stock of where the podcast has come from, what it’s achieved and where we can go with it. A nice reflection.”

Nicole describes Diary Of The Hot Mess Mammas as a spectacular celebration of everything motherhood. The good, the bad … and the ugly.

“We lean into the ugly, ‘cause let’s be honest, a lot of our memorable moments happen when things aren’t running perfectly.”

“As a mum of two, I found myself looking for a podcast that felt like a chat with good friends, a confirmation that this ‘hot mess era’ is also a common occurrence with others mums.”

“I enlisted Julia, my best friend of 30 years, to co-host on the podcast and were having an absolute ball.  Season one is full of laughs and touching moments, from my 5-year-old casually mentioning I need the man shake, to ER trips with splinters in eyes, mum guilt and trauma bonding over big sister shenanigans.”

Nicole hopes listeners will seek out the podcast when they’re needing a ‘friend’ hit and walk away after listening with a lighter heart.
