dmg shutdown Sydney GM role

Nearly a year to the day that Tim McDermott jumped from 2UE to become General Manager at Nova 969 and Smooth 95.3, he is now without a job at the station after dmg Radio Australia announced the closure of the Sydney GM role, effective immediately.

A new structure for the Sydney operations will be announced early in the new year. In the meantime, Louise Higgins, dmg Group General Manager, will look after the stations.

Higgins says of the restructure:

“Our Sydney operations are unique and as such this change relates to our Sydney stations only. We would like to thank Tim McDermott for his service in this role and wish him well with his future endeavours”
