Deep dive into Victoria’s music scene with ALWAYS LIVE

Dive into what makes Melbourne the nation’s cultural music hub with Alex Lahey, as she speaks with all the cogs turning Victoria’s music industry in the new podcast, ALWAYS LIVE.

Over ten episodes, Lahey will take listeners on a journey to meet the people who make the music and those who make the music happen. 

Guests include venue owners, the band bookers, the crew, the roadies, the movers and shakers and importantly, the fans. 

Through telling stories and sharing some live music experiences, the podcast pinpoints the elements that connect Melbourne and Victoria to live music like no other place in the country. 

The first episode along features names like Adalita (artist), Alice Ivy (artist), Bruce Milne (formerly of The Tote/broadcaster), Paul Dempsey (artist), Boo Seeka (artist) and Cameron Adams (journalist), to name a few. 

The podcast is brought to you by the same minds that launched a Victoria wide celebration of live music with more than 90 events featuring 150-plus artists. 

The event said to be the biggest of its kind in the southern hemisphere, features live performances from Dua Lipa, Sampa the Great, Crowded House and many more.
