Dave ‘Rabbit’ Rabbetts departs Star 104.5 Breakfast

I am very disappointed in the powers that be for retiring Rabbit from 104.5’s breakfast show. I liked most Central Coasties listen to him and Gina every morning, I looked forward to it as it set me up for the day ahead and now you have taken that away from me. Very unhappy.

About time! That guy is so full of himself he needs to take a good look at himself. Once he has left I will return as a listener.

Why is he leaving ?

Nova Entertainment self-sabotaging their number #1 show?

So crazy! Who lets go of a guy that’s been number one forever, works tirelessly and did it all without the fuss?! That network really has a habit of rewarding the worst kind of people and dropping those that actually care about other people and the company.

How disappointing that you split 2 people that worked so well together and got your ratings up to where they are today ! He did so much for the community and will be so very missed.

I REALLY hope this was Rabbit’s decision as a way to protect his mental health (which has been a recent and brave decision! to discuss on Radio)….and not a discriminatory move!!!

Starless 104.5 unfortunately now

Love listening to rabbit and Gina each morning. Always lightens the start of my day. Disappointed to hear rabbit is leaving. If it’s not his personal decision then it’s a bad business decision

From a business perspective this is very bad business decision.You take a top performing award winning duo and pull it apart. Rabbit is a great personality and his charisma with Central Coast community will be sadly missed. If nova brings their Sydney breakfast show to the coast it will be an absolute failure .
Local people know the coast and what they want I hope Gina will stick around, it’s going to be a tough gig without Rabbit.

Morning drive to work will not feel the same going to miss his charm wittiness funny kind personality..
He will be a hard act to follow that’s for sure.

End of contract get rid of another personality who you liked driving to work.2GO did the same to Sarah King after 25 years and I haven’t listened to 2GO since and will be the same for this radio station.

I’ve listened to Rabbit since nova started in Sydney when I was at uni in the early 2000’s
I found him on the radio in South Australia when I had to work down there and when I moved to the coast 6-7 years ago I was delighted to have a familiar person to listen too. I’ve been a fan of his since day one and sadly I do t think the station has much pull without him and I know I will be looking for a new one to listen to.

I thought I had finally found a duo in radio that I could commit to listening long term and actually like the hosts- Gina and Rabbit. I found them so easy to listen to and so well connected, complimenting each other. I was devastated when I heard news of Rabbit departing. What on earth are you thinking!!!! You’ve broken up a winning duo Star FM. Bye

Miss you rabbit. I tune in from Sydney for rabbit and Gina and its just not the same since he’s gone. Even my husband was a fan. So bummed!!
Hope i find you pop up on some other radio station.

To quote Preety Woman big mistake, Star 104.5. Everyone loved Rabbit & Gina, you’ve lost me as a listener. I am so thankful that Rabs has started up the Podvan Podcast as I now listen to him on Spotify on my morning commute.

I was so sad when Rabbit department from the radio waves, but have been listening to him on his own podcast since March this year. You can find him on Spotify with PodVan Podcast!
