Dave lives on in Hobart

Heart 107.3’s Kim & Dave were worried the name Dave is dying, so they set the challenge to find a listener who was willing to name their baby Dave.

Just before the end of their show this morning, Kim & Dave took a call from a woman saying her friend had given birth to a boy at 4:33am today.

The breakfast show was immediately extended past 9am and they spoke with new mum Melissa. She agreed to name her new baby Dave, but only if she got a new kitchen.

Kim & Dave then went about organising businesses to help out. By 10 o’clock it was settled, the parents announced the arrival of David Xander Moore.
