Contributor

Following on from the recent article Great Talent Matters, coming soon on Radio Today I’m going to list the Top New Talent to Watch in 2014.

Before we take a look at the new talent this year, it is worth looking back over the last 12 months to see how last year’s Top New Talent to Watch in 2013 are going.

Generally they are all doing very well, some moving from regional to metro radio, others doing well in their current roles, and some may even appear again on this year’s list.

Ryan Jon Ryan moved from STAR FM in Mildura, is now on Breakfast at HOT FM Queensland, and has to be one of the best social media exponents in radio.

The challenge for all of these “new” talent is to continue to offer up something different and unique and to stand out from the pack. They need to keep striving to be relatable, engaging, true to themselves, and to continue to find their authentic voice, making sure they offer up their real selves on-air and being prepared to expose themselves.

Radio Today's Top New Talent to Watch in 2014 is coming soon.

The list is currently being put together so if you have any suggestions let us know here or leave a comment below.
