Kim Wilde on Smooth in 2022

Iconic singer Kim Wilde has an 80’s Show that will air exclusively on smoothfm every Saturday night from 7pm to 9pm from 22 January.

With hits tracks including ‘Kids in America,’ ‘Chequered Love’ and ‘You Keep Me Hangin’ On’ synonymous with the 80s, Wilde has sold over 10 million albums, 20 million singles and holds the record for the most charted British solo act of the 80s.

Peter Clay, NOVA Entertainment’s Head of Programming smoothfm said, “That decade had so many great tracks and to have an icon of the 80’s hosting her show on smooth is a real treat for our listeners.”

Kim Wilde’s 80s Show will feature some of the best tracks from the era, including Madonna’s Into The Groove, Tracy Chapman’s Fast Car, If I Could Turn Back Time by Cher, Diana Ross’ Chain Reaction, Pretender’s Don’t Get Me Wrong, and Kim’s Wilde’s classic hit You Keep Me Hanging on, to provide listeners with the perfect soundtrack on Saturday nights.

Wilde continues to record and perform and in 2021 celebrated her 40th year as performing artist with the release of Pop Don’t Stop: Greatest Hits. In addition to being a DJ on Magic in the UK on Sundays, Wilde is an award winning landscape gardener and has published two gardening books.

Hi Kim
I remember back in the seventies as a telephone engineer in Wales coming to your home to fix the telephone. Your Dad was always a charming man as were you kids. Good to hear you on smooth fm
