Cass & Bodge had a controversial Breakfast co-host this week

Hit Mid North Coast‘s Cass & Bodge are always looking for ways to shake up their Breakfast show, and this week the pair took things to new heights.

They were joined by ever-controversial Queensland MP Bob Katter over the phone on multiple occasions throughout the week.

Early in the week he spoke about the need for men to “strike back” and “even things up” after decades of paying for meals for women.

Katter also spoke of his childhood and being teased for being white, but claimed that over his life he’d become “blacker” and now considered himself to be a “black fella”.

Throughout the week, Bob had also been trying to convert Bodge over to become a North Queensland Cowboys fan, and this morning he finally achieved his goal.

“Oh, Bodge! I’ll wear Kempsey Akubra hats til the day that I die, as a result of this decision,” said Bob.

“If you make me a promise right now, to take me to a Cowboys game, I will make the journey to Cairns,” Bodge responded.

“I don’t know if Cass wants to come or not. But we’ll bring you an Akubra hat, fresh from here, and we’ll go to a game.”
