Bye Kim and hello Sarah

Well, that was short and sweet. I’m leaving Radio Today to go back on air again.

After joining the Radio Today team in January, I’m off again, heading back to the ABC on contract for nine months, doing Drive across Northern Tasmania. I’m filling in for Piia Wirsu who has taken a position as a producer within an ABC Audio on Demand team.

Replacing me is Sarah Patterson (pictured) who began her radio career at South Gippsland community station 3MFM before moving to Wangaratta to take up a position as a newsreader at local station 3NE.

Since then, she has established herself as one of Melbourne’s most recognisable newsreaders.

For three years she was the news presenter for Eddie McGuire’s Hot Breakfast show on Triple M. She has been heard on a host of stations including Fox FM, Smooth FM, Nova, Gold FM, Kiis, SEN, and RSN 927.

Sarah also enjoyed a brief stint in regional TV, where she was bureau chief at WIN Television in Bendigo.

Now married to radio broadcaster Kevin Hillier, mum to a teenage son, and host of the popular Food Bytes podcast, Sarah can be heard Afternoons and Evenings on AIR News.

Welcome, Sarah.

PS: I will continue to update Radio Today’s unfolding wages story.
