Model Bridget Malcolm refuses to return to Kyle & Jackie O Show, implores hosts to be better

Former Editor & Content Director

Model and mental health advocate Bridget Malcolm has revealed she rejected an offer to appear on Sydney’s #1 Breakfast program because of its previous form with regards to disrespecting women.

Malcolm said last time she went on the show was after her appearance in the 2015 Victoria’s Secret fashion show, and she was confronted by the line of questioning from co-host Kyle Sandilands.

“Last time that I did the Kyle & Jackie O Show, I was about 25 or so, 25, and I had just done the 2015 Victoria’s Secret Show. I thought I was going to be discussing, you know, the Victoria’s Secret show and all that exciting stuff. And I get there and Kyle, charming fellow that he is, asked me if I watched Kendall Jenner get naked and changed backstage,” Malcolm said in a video online.

She then showed viewers a recent email exchange between herself and a show producer, in which Malcolm is invited back on the program.

“And so I responded… ‘Thank you very much for the offer, however I’ll have to decline at this stage. Last time I was asked live on air if I looked at Kendall Jenner while she was naked getting changed. Given the extreme lack of respect this statement shows towards women, I think you understand why I do not feel comfortable returning,'” Malcolm said, reading her email.

She finished with a call to action for the radio host: “Do better, Kyle.”

Very interesting how those that complain about Kyle only target him. Jackie was part of that interview too, did she shut down the question, did she tell Kyle not to ask that or just laugh at him. They’re both very good at what they do when it comes to good cop and bad cop, but it’s time to stop just blaming Kyle.

Imagine being that thin-skinned that you get offended by a question like that.

And yet Bridget thought it was appropriate to give out the producer’s name and phone number? The producer she outed has nothing to do with her issue with Kyle and didn’t deserve to have her details and email made public. What a PrObLeMaTiC fail in trying to take the high road, Bridget.

Outrage publicity

Those who are desperate for publicity will go the outrage route. The sky blue will cause outrage to them of discrimination or whatever their bent.

Amazed that people bother to watch such garbage, going by the article, seems to be on one platform to bag another and a radio show and have lots of ‘fans’ watch it.

Stick to your core cause, do it from your own website or platform and move on from whinging about a show that a few in Sydney listen to. Are they even your target market in the first place or is this all useful outrage publicity?

Good on you. He maybe successful and have many supporters, but I do not tune in because of his constant concentration on sex talks. I feel for the news reader. Kyle often make over the top guy comments towards him too. I don’t know why he put up with him.
