Ben & Liam drop the **** word

Brekky duo Ben and Liam have signed on for their third year at triple j and were back on air today.

They were back into the swing of things early, leaving them with a solid week or two to get the jump on most other Breakfast shows who aren’t back yet.

With the 2019 GfK ratings measurement period starting on January 21, most shows resume on the 14th or even the week following.

The boys have are already making trouble, dropping the sh*t word not once but twice this morning.

“You can say that one!” insisted Liam. “But you can’t say the ‘F’ word.

“You can say it twice in one hour, but now that I’ve said it, we can’t say it again until 8am”.

Ben and Liam were joined this morning by newly installed news reader Alice Matthews who replaces Brooke Boney.

Boney is joining Nine’s Today Show from January 14, having spent the past two years on triple j Breakfast.

triple j are also giving away Laneway Festival tickets at the moment, and the public broadcaster is also gearing up for its Hottest 100 on January 24.
