Ben & Liam’s plan to wake up new boss Lachie Macara on air goes awry

Ben and Liam‘s Wednesday Wake-up Call didn’t work out as planned this morning, with a call to new boss Lachie Macara finding the boys in trouble.

After taking the suggestion from a listener named Muz, Ben was initially hesitant about the idea.

“I don’t think we should wake him up… the relationship is too new,” he said.

After some convincing from Liam, they eventually decided to go through with it, and Macara answered groggily they blasted ‘Bring Me To Life’ by Evanescence.

“Do we still have a job?” they asked.

“When I get in, we should have a chat…” said Lachie.

Macara was obviously not too please, and after two consecutive songs, Ben and Liam’s producer Belle emerged on air instead of the boys.

“I’ve jumped into the studio because the boys are currently out of the studio talking to him on the phone… we’ve had a little bit of a backlash there,” she said.

“So this is another song we’re going to play while we’re padding…”

Ben and Liam returned after a further couple of songs.

“Everyone is cool here, not to worry,” they explained to a concerned caller who had wondered where they’d disappeared to.

“Some slackers can’t handle the heat when it comes to the Wednesday morning wakeup call,” said Liam.

Bloody hilarious segment though! I can’t imagine anything worse than waking up to Evanescence.

Very awkward and who’s Lachy he hasn’t got much of a sense of humour. What happened to Olly.
