Belinda Sloane to fill in for Emma G on SAFM Breakfast
Belinda Sloane will make her full-time Breakfast radio debut next month, filling on SAFM while Emma Georgiadis is on maternity leave.
Already an experienced TV presenter, Sloane had taken time out from her media roles to spend time raising her young children with her husband, retired Adelaide AFL star Rory.
She’s told The Advertiser (subscription required) her return to the broadcast media world came out of nowehere … but now, she can’t wait to join Bernie Vince in the studio each day.
“I’m really excited. I feel like it’s going to be a lot of fun. It’ll be a switch up for my mornings, going from dealing with three kids to just dealing with one big kid.”
“The kids will miss me at home but Rory will just have to step up to the plate.”

Sloane has worked in various roles with Fox Sports and Channel 7, but this will be her first full-time Breakfast radio gig, and she already knows her co-host Bernie well.
She says advice from Rory – well known to Melbourne radio listeners as a footy expert on 3AW – has boosted her confidence.
“He said, ‘Just be you.’ I think he’s just really proud.”
Georgiadis, who’s due to give birth in about a month’s time, will co-host her last show on July 4.
She plans to return in October.

Experienced media presenter? Never heard of her and I’m from Adelaide.
I’m sure she’s never heard of you either Craig Noname from Adelaide.
Was your point just to say you haven’t heard of her personally, or you wanted to tell us all that you’re from Adelaide, or that are you representing the whole of Adelaide in your appraisal of this person, or something else entirely snarkily different?
Also from Adelaide and have never heard of her. That’s not to say she won’t be any good, though.
