Australian Radio School launches new logo & website
The Australian Radio School in Adelaide has a new logo and website, both launched this week.
The new face of the school coincides with Sean Craig Murphy celebrating ten years as the owner of the school.
Murphy tells Radio Today that not everyone sees the same thing when they look at the logo, with a few taking some time to work out what it means.
Some of the incorrect guesses have been “Looks like how I draw grass”, “Alan Jones’ heart rate when someone mentions Jacinda Ardern?”, “MMM let me think ;)” and “iPhone sound wave”.
“I’ve shown the logo to a lot of people in the last couple of weeks and not everyone sees what is intended in the logo,” Murphy said.
“The reaction from those who do work it out makes it worthwhile though. You can literally see them have that lightbulb moment.”
He tells us the new logo is actually a map of Australia, made out as a soundwave!
Past alumni of the school include Nova 91.9’s Ben & Liam, and 2019 Gold Logie nominee Sam Mac.
The next round of the Australian Radio School’s ‘Introduction To Radio’ course starts on May 5. More info here.
He’s trying to redeem the great State of SA after their Tourism Bodies Australian shaped logo left off Tassie!
In years to come, there’ll be many in the industry, who will have him to thank for their careers. Well done, SCM!
Wasn’t Sam Mac a graduate under the auspices of the previous owner, the great Daisy Day?
Could not recommend Australian Radio School more! Brilliant, informative and encouraging. GO SCM!
