Aussie actor takes on Lonely Harts Radio audiobook

Australian actor Adam Demos has jumped into the world of audiobooks, trying his hand the new romance story, Lonely Harts Radio, launched by Audible today. 

Known for his roles in Sex/Life, UnREAL, and A Perfect Pairing, Demos plays a has-been Aussie DJ named Ru Tattersall, who is trying to achieve his dreams in New York.

“My favourite thing about recording this Audible Original was it’s the first time I’ve ever done an audiobook before and so it was challenging and exciting,” said Demos.

“It was a new muscle to flex and grow … and so rewarding to try something new.” 

Demos stars alongside actress Erin Richards as his amateur Welsh matchmaker and radio co-host love interest, Eira Hart. 

The pair partner up to form The Lonely Harts Club radio show, inviting listeners on the show to find love.

Set in New York City in 1999, the countdown to a new millennium sparks interest for lonely singles to find their one true love. 

“What’s so great about Lonely Harts Radio is the story, it happening in 1999 … before all of this sort of stuff (online dating) you get an insight into how people use to communicate and court each other,” said Demos. 

“My favourite cute story is about my partner. We worked on the same show together, but we’d never met … Cut to now and she’s the love of my life.”
