Ali Longhurst takes over as Hit90.9 Gold Coast content director

Ali Longhurst has been appointed as the new content director for Hit90.9 Gold Coast.

She takes over from Corey Kay, who is now the CD at Gold 92.5.

Ali previously worked as 90.9 Sea FM from 2015-2017, and returns to the Gold Coast after a stint in Melbourne.

The appointment comes just after SCA announced the station would be rebranded from Sea FM Gold Coast to Hit90.9, bringing it in line with the rest of the Hit Network.

It also has a new Breakfast show, with Sarah & Lise from Those Two Girls joining Ben & Dan.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be a part the GC’s Hit90.9 team. I consider it an honour to be working alongside such talented people who share my passion for both radio and the Gold Coast,” said Ali.

“The GC is home for me – I love the people, the culture, the weather, my house in Carrara and I am ecstatic to be heading back and doing what we do best.

“I know this team will achieve amazing things and I can’t wait to get up there and start!”

She comes from her current role as senior producer of Fox FM Breakfast in Melbourne.

Ali will commence hew new role on Monday August 12, after the station officially rebrands on July 29.

“Ali will bring her breakfast show experience to our newly announced Hit90.9 Brekkie Crew with Lise, Sarah, Ben and Dan. Ali brings a wealth of knowledge to the role, a huge amount of enthusiasm and a deep love for the Goldie.”
