AFTRS (Australian Television and Radio School) have developed a series of seminars to help busy creatives get a better understanding of important skills relevant to the business side of the arts world.

Short, Sharpe and Immediately Useful (SSIU) series covers a wide range of topics from now until the end of November, cultivated off the back of the AFTRS industry survey, asking individuals and companies where the skill gaps were within the sector.

“One of the things that’s important for creatives in our industry is to be an all-rounder,” advised Wendy Gray, AFTRS’ head of Industry Program.

“It’s not enough to say, ‘I am only going to focus on this one thing’ anymore.”

The first this month focuses on Blockchain for Creative Business, and during the seminar, you will get a better understanding of blockchain, and its applications.

Explore the challenges and opportunities for the creative industries in the blockchain economy, Whilst hearing case studies of companies that have successfully integrated blockchain into their business models and how.

All seminars are in the afternoon with complimentary tea on the last Thursday of every month.

Check out the full series here and enrol today.
