Addam & Digby tie the knot on K rock

Live on radio around Geelong and the Surfcoast, K rock 95.5’s Wedding for Marriage Equality took place last Friday in front of 60 people.

Addam and Digby from Geelong tied the knot at the idyllic setting of Leura Park Estate Winery. With the help of over 30 business from around the region, friends and family flew from across the country to be part of the day.

“When we started this we never thought it would get as big as it has been,” said K rock Program Director Leigh Kuhlmann. “We received thousands of emails from listeners and clients who have jumped on board to be a part of radio history in Geelong and the Surfcoast.”

Kuhlmann added: “It is so cool to work for a company who can take a leadership position on such an important social issues. Politicians need to stand up and be counted because this will happen with or without them.”

“We don’t know how to feel,” Digby said after the ceremony. “Beforehand, we knew we would be sharing this with Australia but in the moment, we didn’t think about that, we enjoyed sharing our vows with Dianne Schmidtke and making our relationship official in the eyes of K rock, K rock listeners and Geelong and The Surf Coast.”
