ABC’s ‘AM’ hits the road in Qld
With Queenslands election day exactly ten days away, ABC's current affairs program 'AM' will take the program on the road through the Sunshine State.
From Monday 19 March, host Tony Eastley will tour Queensland to discuss the big election issues and to find out what’s on the minds of Queensland voters, broadcasting the show live from a variety of locations.
Monday 19 March, AM will broadcast from Airlie Beach discussing 'the two speed economy – the sufferers'. On Tuesday 20 March, the show is at Hay Point (south of Mackay) discussing 'the two speed economy – the beneficiaries'. On Wednesday 21 March, AM broadcasts from Toowoomba addressing the impact of the floods on voting preferences.
The program moves to Logan City, and discusses 'urban strains' on Thursday 22 March, and on Friday 23 March, AM broadcasts from Ashgrove – the seat that is pivotal to this election as it is the seat in which Campbell Newman is standing in.
The Queensland tour will wrap up on Sunday 25 March with a complete wrap of that State's election.
