ABC Radio Melbourne returns to Geelong for Radio in Residency

Reporter

Throughout March, ABC Radio Melbourne will once again be broadcasting live from Geelong, bringing its pop-up radio studio to Deakin University’s Waterfront campus.

Back for its third year, the ABC in Geelong will see ABC Radio Melbourne’s programs and presenters including Sammy J, Raf Epstein, Trevor Chappell, Richelle Hunt, Ali Moore, Jacinta Parsons and Brian Nankervis return to the Geelong Waterfront.

During the month-long residency, held in partnership with Deakin University and the City of Greater Geelong, the presenters will hear from local voices and share the news and stories of Geelong with ABC Radio Melbourne’s listeners.

The ABC’s pop-up radio studio will be located on the corner of Cunningham St and Western Beach Rd, overlooking Corio Bay. The space has been provided by Deakin University’s School of Creative Arts.

Members of the public are also invited to visit the pop-up studio to see the ABC Radio Melbourne live broadcasts.
