ARN’s final change to 96FM’s lineup is Russell Clark

Former Assistant Editor
ARN

Experienced music and content director Russell Clark is joining the on-air team at 96FM.

Clark, who spent almost two decades in content and music director roles at Mix 94.5, will be heard on Afternoons from 1pm-4pm Weekdays.

He had most recently been working as a casual announcer at 6IX after departing SCA mid-2018.

Prior to that he worked at SAFM for seven years, and also had gigs at The Eagle, 6MM West Coast Radio and 6PR.

“Russell’s wealth of knowledge and depth of experience will prove invaluable as we focus on audience growth and reclaiming 96FM’s heritage,” said 96FM managing director Gary Roberts.

The announcement follows the debut of 96FM’s new Breakfast show Botica’s Bunch on Monday (July 9), replacing Paul & Lise.

Dan Underhill was announced as the ARN station’s new content director last week, departing his current role at Nova Perth

Great to see RC rewarded for years of hard work and experience. The current music director would be nervous that’s for sure!!

This has to mean a head to head with mix now. Still going to be super weird from 4pm – 7pm to satisfy the national spend unless he’s negotiated a local drive for next year.
Roberts will feel like the cat that got the canary. Well played sir.
