92.5 Gold FM raising awareness for domestic violence

Staff Writer

92.5 Gold FM‘s Breakfast team are hosting their fourth annual event raising awareness for domestic violence.

AJ, Bridge and Spida, who were recently named the #1 Breakfast show on the Gold Coast, are preparing to hold the Stand Up Against Domestic Violence Paddle Board event at Currumbin Creek.

The event is held in conjunction with White Ribbon Australia.

“We need to listen, to act and to change this human rights issue,” said Bridget ‘Bridge’ Daley.

“This is the fourth annual Stand Up Against Domestic Violence Paddle Board day and as community leaders, we need to be conduits for change, for awareness and for support.”

The team are encouraging all Gold Coast and Tweet Coast locals to come and take a stand on a paddle board and make an individual pledge to stop violence against all people.

“Domestic violence can only be minimised through people across the community and taking an active role in speaking out about it. Stand Up Against Domestic Violence Paddle Board event is a terrific Gold Coast initiative that combines community involvement with advocacy, ” said White Ribbon Australia’s Dean Gould.

AJ, Bridge and Spida will host their Breakfast show from the event on Saturday, November 10. Catch them from 7am at Currumbin Boatshed.
