Nova 937's Shaun McManus had a great Melbourne Cup day, or at least his mother did.

Sean's mum, Sue McManus placed a $12 bet on the top 4 placed horses, and scored big winning $484,703.

"I don't ever bet that much money, it was just numbers. I liked Green Moon, and thought it sounded good, and I picked number 11 because I have 11 grand children."

"I thought I had won $400 and I was thrilled, not $400,000, I was in a daze"  – Sue told Nathan, Nat and Shaun on Nova this morning.
