2 Guys 1 Cup returns with new season 

Comedian Wil Anderson and actor Charlie Clausen are returning with the seventh season of their footy podcast 2 Guys 1 Cup, right in time for the 2023 AFL season.

The LiSTNR podcast is a weekly show discussing AFL news with a balanced dose of laughs rather than total serious footy analysis. 

Episode one for the new season is live now and includes an encounter that Wil had with the Brisbane Lions and their coach Chris Fagan, plus, a deep dive into some commentary from Brian Taylor during which he made the bold statement “it’s so good, you just want to kiss it” and a hardcore analysis of Bulldogs’ coach Luke Beveridge and his ‘new look’ for the 2023 season.

“There’s plenty of footy podcasts you can listen to for expert commentary, but only one that routinely gets even the basics wrong, and I think that really sets us apart from the competition. We’re likely to forget who is still playing, who has retired and the coaches’ names. Plus, we still don’t know who Jake Lloyd is, but apparently, he plays for Sydney,” Wil said. 

Charlie says now that footy is back, they can start focusing again. 

“If any good can come from the return of 2 Guys 1 Cup, it’s that footy’s back and we can start ignoring our loved ones on the weekends again,” Charlie said.

“There will be discussions about players’ haircuts and socks, and we can’t rule out the possibility that there will be impressions of Mark LeCras that manage to be both wildly inaccurate and borderline offensive.”
