Will and Woody attempt world record shave for Movember

KIIS FM National Drive show hosts, Will McMahon and Woody Whitelaw have thrown their support behind men’s health charity Movember, attempting the World Record for the most ‘distant’ shave.

Will put his face on the line, literally, by allowing KIIS listener Wayne to cast a fishing line – with an electric razor attached – over the balcony of MoHQ as he waited for contact on the ground.

The 20-metre drop was made more challenging by wind and rain and the distant shave seemed an unlikely feat, but listener Wayne wasn’t giving up.

Wayne dropped the buzzing razor down the side of the building landing it in a funnel and on Will’s upper lip and a few hairs were successfully chopped to seal the deal.

Will & Woody are long-time Mo Bros, who actively get involved in the men’s health movement. The pair talk openly about their mental health struggles and the importance of having meaningful conversations with mates.

“Movember is an initiative close to both of our hearts – with so many men’s health issues including mental health being so unspoken about,” said Will.

“We often use our show as a platform to dig deeper into what may be uncomfortable or extremely vulnerable conversations and working with Movember has further ignited our passion to champion the cause.”

Globally, men are dying 5 years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons.

In Australia, 3 out of 4 suicides are men, 1 in 5 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, and testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men.

“We look forward to using this month as a chance to have an open dialogue about the men’s health issues that are impacting those all across the country,” said Woody

“We would do just about anything for such a great cause like Movember, especially if it means shaving Will’s mo from four stories high.”

To help the cause, choose to Grow, Move, Host or Mo Your Own Way and start raising funds and awareness for men’s health.
