Australia’s largest podcasting network Whooshkaa has announced a new partnership with Virgin Australia to bring their podcasts to the skies.

Whooshka is already a partner of ARN, the Sports Entertainment Network, Fox Sports and Sky News, and now it will deliver select podcasts to Virgin Australia flights from February 1.

Virgin Australia flew almost two million passengers to 58 destinations in 2017, on almost 14,000 domestic and international flights.

Some of the shows to be available include Business InsiderMeshel Laurie‘s Australian True Crime, myBody+Soul’s Healthy-ish and Rachel Corbett‘s You’ve Gotta Start Somewhere.

“Every day more people are becoming fascinated with podcasts. They have firm favourites, but are not afraid to try out new shows and genres,” said Whooskaa founder and CEO Robert Loewenthal.

“We’re proud that Virgin Australia has chosen Whooshkaa to bring podcasts to its skies.”

“The Virgin Australia Entertainment platform provides our guests with hundreds of hours of content to enjoy when they fly,” said Virgin Australia general manager customer experience and product Tash Tobias.

“We recognise the growing popularity of podcasts and we’re proud to expand our already-wide menu of quality Australian-produced inflight entertainment.”

Whooshkaa’s podcasts will be available on Virgin Australia flights from February 1.
