Vera Blue’s Red Room performance

Vera Blue kicked off the first Nova’s Red Room of 2022 in style, partnering with PayPal Pay in 4 and Melbourne Fashion Festival for an intimate and classy performance.

Hosted by the dapper Kent ‘Smallzy’ Small, the show dazzled from The Edge in Melbourne CBD’s Federation Square for just over 200 guests made up of lucky Nova listeners and other special appearances.

Sporting a black kimono-style floral dress, Vera wowed the crowd with her incredible vocals, performing The Curse, Temper, Lie To Me, Hold, All The Pretty Girls and Regular Touch, before finishing her set with Rushing Back as fans sang along.

With the Nova Red Room neon sign as her backdrop, Vera sung as she passionately flung her hair around while also giving the push-board instrument a thump, harmonizing soundscapes with the band.

Giving everyone a taste of her renowned vocals, Vera stretched her voice and produced goosebumps until the end of the show.

Guests included Joel Creasey and afternoon announcer Mel Tracina, Masterchef/Survivor’s Khanh Ong, Neighbours stars Tim Kano and Rebekah Elmaloglou, model and former Love Island contestant Matthew Zukowski and Tully Smyth of the Too Much Tully podcast, plus many more.

But with one Red Room over, another is just beginning.

On Thursday night, multi-award winning producer Joel Corry will entertain fans with an exclusive Nova’s Red Room performance in Adelaide at the much-loved festival hub Gluttony, for Adelaide Fringe Festival.

A very special thank you to Nova for taking Radio Today to Nova’s Red Room with Vera Blue.
