The Australian Radio Industry Facebook group has reported that ex-5AD-FM (now Mix 102.3) PD Richard Winter died on the weekend.

Former 5AD announcer Steve Curtis told the group that he died 'suddenly yesterday (Saturday) of a massive heart attack. It seems he was at a car rally ready to go, complained of feeling unwell, collapsed and couldn't be revived.'

Winter was PD at 5AD in the 90s but also worked at 2AY and Vega.

He was 52.
