V8 street unveiled

Yesterday we told you about the excellent local campaign ran by 4TO-FM, and Breakfast Announcer Steve Price, in Townsville to rename a local street (see here).

The new street name was officially unveiled this morning, and subsequently Townsville now has 'V8 street', named  in honour of the V8 supercar race this weekend.

4TO-FM Content Director Blair Woodcock said;

"it was a terrific morning that really brought forward the sentiments of the town – this year is set to be a massive event with 4TO FM really bringing together the community. From this morning’s street renaming ceremony to the following transporter parade which saw record numbers in attendance as well".
