It’s clear we love our crime stories, going by the latest Australian Podcast Rankerreleased today by Commercial Radio and Audio (CRA) and Triton Digital.

Casefile True Crime saw a surge in monthly listens to move up a spot, now sitting second behind Hamish & Andy.

The LiSTNR duo continue their reign as the nation’s most popular podcast, still holding down the #1 spot with 847,000+ monthly listens.

ABC News Top Stories rounds out the top 3.

ARN’s iHeart was again the leading podcast publisher.

It marks 53 consecutive rankers as Australia’s #1 podcast publisher, with four podcasts in the top ten.

In September alone, iHeart recorded over 6.5 million listeners and 19.8 million downloads.

Among the top 10, Audioboom’s Casefile maintained its spot as the #1 true crime podcast, ranking #2 overall. The Imperfects held at #6 overall (#1 Health & Wellness podcast), while The Kyle and Jackie O Show came in at #8, while remaining the #1 radio catch up.

Life Uncut, hosted by Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne, retained its position at #9 overall.
