Triple M’s Beau Ryan mistakes Tiger Woods for co-host Aaron Woods

This morning on Triple M Sydney Breakfast with Beau, Cat & Woodsy, Beau Ryan shared a tale of mistaken identity, after confusing a headline about golf superstar Tiger Woods with his co-host Aaron ‘Woodsy’ Woods.

Ryan recalled a conversation at a 40th birthday party where a stranger asked him “What happened to Woodsy?” – sparking immediate concern and panic.

Assuming the worst, Ryan went into damage control before realising the mix-up was actually about Tiger Woods, who was arrested over the weekend.

Beau: “He goes, ‘What about Woodsy?’…  I said, ‘Yeah, he’s great!’, and he says, ‘But what about what happened to him? I just read it’ …  I went straight away into defence mode – ‘You can’t believe everything you read; he didn’t do it!’ (laughs).”

“I look down at my phone assuming I would have like 100 messages from people, and I had one bar of service! I race outside and get service, and no messages load so I google ‘Aaron Woods’.”

“Nothing is coming up! I walk back in. Later on, I see him near the bar and I go, ‘What the hell are you talking about? Do you know something?’, and he goes, ‘Oh, no mate… I just saw the headline – Woodsy is in trouble again’… it was Tiger Woods!
