Triple M welcomes back Newcastle Call Team for 2020

Triple M Newcastle is welcoming back several former Knights players to its call team ahead of the 2020 NRL season.

Frank Barrett, Michael Hagan, Matt Rodwell and Marc Glanville return to 102.9 Triple M Newcastle for Round 1 on Saturday March 14 for the Knights home opener.

It’s the sixth season that Triple M Newcastle has its own call team for Knights games.

“What I’ve found over 30 years at the Knights, and behind the microphone is the deep connection Newcastle has to our footy team,” said former Knights premiership-winning coach Hagan.

“I’m thrilled to continue calling their games on Triple M NRL in 2020 alongside three of my great mates.”

Frank Barrett added; “Here at Triple M NRL we are excited for the season ahead, with a new coach at the Knights, and some new additions to the playing roster.

“We won’t be going easy on them, we’ll call it as we see it, but we’re also going to have a lot of fun along the way!”

Every Newcastle Knights game will be presented live, with plenty of local content too.

“Triple M is the home of NRL in Newcastle and it gives me great pleasure to announce the return of Frank, Hages, Matt and MG as the only local call team for 2020,” said SCA group CD for NSW, Jase Allen.

“Their experience on and off the field is unrivalled and they will continue to deliver Novocastrians the most comprehensive NRL coverage with a couple of friendly jabs at each other every week.”
