Footy returns to Triple M this week as AFL reboots

Staff Writer

After almost three months of enforced isolation caused by the global pandemic, Triple M’s AFL call team will emerge from their quarantined dwellings to launch the season.

Kicking off with the massive clash between Collingwood and Richmond at the MCG tonight from 7pm AEST, all of Triple M Footy’s biggest names return for a weekend packed with blockbusters.

The call team includes James Brayshaw, Mark Howard, Barry Denner, Chris Dittmar and recently inducted Australian Football Hall of Famer, Dennis Cometti.

Triple M also promises “the greatest panel of experts ever assembled on a football broadcast” with names like Brian Taylor, Wayne Carey, Chris Judd, Luke Darcy and Billy Brownless.

The Friday Huddle, Saturday Rub and Sunday Rub will all be back on-air to bring you the unique footy coverage and humour that only Triple M can deliver each and every week.

“If a week is a long time in footy; 70 odd days is an eternity,” said sports boss, Ewan Giles. “Our entire call team can’t wait to get back to the footy and call the game we all love.”
