Highlights: triple j’s One Night Stand a success
Tony White Oval in Mount Isa accommodated 7,000 people on Friday for triple j’s annual One Night Stand concert.
Station presenters Linda Marigliano, Zan Rowe and Ben & Liam hosted the jam-packed event live around the country.
triple j Unearthed winner and local Mount Isan Lucky Luke delivered a stellar hip hop set with a host of guest MCs. This was followed by San Cisco who invited fellow artist and friend Thelma Plum onstage to perform a cover of Peter, Bjorn and John’s Young Folk.
After overcoming a flu just in time for the event, Tash Sultana flawlessly performed breakthrough hit Jungle while treating fans to new single Murder To The Mind.
Legendary hypeman Fatman Scoop also made an appearance, amping up the crowd during Thundamentals rendition of Wyle Out Year.

The Smith Street Band were in fine form belting out crowd pleasers Death To The Lads, Young Drunk and I Can’t Feel My Face. The Melbourne act then started a heartfelt conversation about mental health before playing I Don’t Wanna Die Anymore.
The finale saw the members of Smith Street and San Cisco jump up on stage in fluoro tracksuits to bust out their best moves to Thundamentals’ bouncy jam Sally.
