Staff Writer

triple j’s One Night Stand hit Dubbo yesterday where 18,000 music fans attended, along with hundreds of thousands listening live on the j's plus for the first time live on TV.

triple j not only showed the event on ABC2 but also had a second screen experience, giving viewers access to backstage content. On the triple j website they also had videos, blogs and photo galleries.

The concert opened with local Dubbo band, and winner of their Unearthed comp, Peoples Palace, then Seth Sentry hit the stage.

Sam from Ball Park Music won fans with his ‘I Love Dubbo’ T-Shirt and The Rubens played their set including ‘My Gun’ and ‘Lay It Down’.

Flume (pictured) debuted his ‘Infinity Prism’ and impressive light show. Chet Faker, Moon Holiday and TShirt all made guest appearances via the visual show.

Alex Dyson and Zan Rowe were live on triple j for 8 hours of the One Night Stand while The Doctor hosted the live TV coverage.

The Doctor took a break from the ABC2 wrap party to say:

“Apart from shooting my mouth off on tv, I got some of the best views of the night. From the photo pit up front, to my slightly sleazy bedroom set that I could see the whole 18,000 crazy people from, to being in that crowd, trying to keep a straight face and throw to the stage with “Dubbo”, “Flume”, “Doctor” and “triple jaaaaaaaaaaaay” being yelled into my poor ears. It was an excellent night.”

triple j will now make the most of the awesome content from the event and will replay the performances on Live At The Wireless. Plus, if you have nothing to do this arvo you can stream the One Night Stand concert on iView.
