triple j starts Ausmusic Month with 2022 J Award nominees

triple j’s annual celebration of local music, Ausmusic Month, is here and starting strong by sharing the nominees for the 2022 J Awards.

Now in its 18th year, the J Awards are triple j’s annual recognition of the best in Australian music. 

Winners will be revealed throughout the day on Thursday, Nov 17, across triple j, triple j Unearthed and Double J.

Local legends will get spins all November, from the 2022 passing of the greats like Archie Roach to the artists putting on gigs at the pub nearby.

To kick things off, triple j will be spinning all Australian music on triple j, triple j Unearthed and Double J all day today.

Mark the date for Ausmusic T-Shirt Day on Nov 18, as well as all-Australian performances across Like A Version and Live At The Wireless, starting with Tones & I on Friday, Nov 4, and a live set from Gang Of Youths on Monday, Nov 7 at 7pm.

Double J will also be re-living Midnight Oil’s set from Bluesfest 2022 on Nov 1 at 6pm. Fans can find an exclusive collection of Midnight Oil content dug up from the ABC archives on the ABC listen app.
