triple j’s Live A Version returns to the airwaves

triple j‘s hugely popular live cover segment Like A Version will return from next week, after being suspended due to coronavirus social distancing concerns.

Since the segment was suspended, the national broadcaster has been going back into the archives and broadcasting The Best Of Like A Version, playing covers recorded at the triple j studios from the last decade.

Now it’s been deemed safe enough to record again, and the first musical guest to join Sally & Erica in the Breakfast studio will be Sydney hip hop act ChillinIT.

Sally & Erica announce the news live on air this morning, and things will return to normal will be back on Friday, June 5 at the usual weekly time of 7:30am.

“That’s right, triple j Like A Version is back! From Friday you’ll be hearing a brand new performance of an original and a cover recorded right here in the triple j studio.”

triple j has noted that the return of Like A Version will take place with “limited artists and crew involved” due to strict health and safety measures remaining in place.
