triple j announce a new drive team and other changes

After four years at triple j, hosting Weekend Breakfast and Afternoons Veronica & Lewis are the new hosts of triple j’s Drive show.

Veronica Milsom and Lewis Hobba, met in high school and went on to write and perform sketches for ABC TV’s Hungry Beast.

 

 

From there, Veronica joined the cast of ABC TV’s sketch comedy series Shaun Micallef's Mad As Hell, as well as host the ABC2 series Backseat Drivers and appear on The Project, A League of Their Own and the most recent series of It’s A Date.

Lewis performs and writes for comedy group A Rational Fear, which is broadcast on Radio National, and has written and directed comedy for Channel 10, The Comedy Channel and the ABC, as well as appearing on Spicks & Specks, The Chaser's Media Circus, Backseat Drivers and The Feed.

2014 also saw both Veronica and Lewis perform live solo shows in The Melbourne and Sydney International Comedy Festivals. 

Another addition to the triple j roster is Joshua Merriel who takes over as the host of triple j’s punk and hardcore program Short.Fast.Loud from Stu Harvey. Josh has been presenting mid dawns on triple j for the past two years and prior to that he coordinated SYN FM’s popular punk and metal show Works In Theory.

With triple j Unearthed, 2015 will see even more program specials, guest presenters and one off features. Melbourne musician Steph Hughes continues her new music program, while Rosie Beaton will finish up her program and leave the ABC at the end of 2014.

2014 saw Double J launch with highlights including the relaunch of the J Files and the Artist in Residence programs hosted by Robert Forster, Iggy Pop and Missy Higgins. Those shows are back for 2015 .Meanwhile Caz Tran's Saturday Mornings show  is moving to Saturday Afternoons with Tim Shiel's show Something More now also being heard on triple j on Sunday nights. 

Tim’s show replaces Fenella Kernebone who has decided to finish up her role on The Sound Lab after 11 years on air with the ABC.
