Tragedy for 4BC star

The year should be ending on a high note for 4BC’s Bill McDonald who’s taken over the 9am to 12n slot.

Instead,  Gary Hardgrave is filling in for Bill who sadly lost his wife to Cancer.

“Gary Hardgrave here in the chair this morning for Bill McDonald. Look, I have some sad news to share with 4BC listeners this morning,” Hardgrave said.

“We are thinking of Bill and his four sons at this dreadful and difficult time.”

As the author of this report,   I’ve known Bill personally for many years. The news is just terrible for him and their family, especially as we head into Christmas.

He and Julianne had been married for 30 years

The eldest son of the McDonald family, Jordan, shared the sad news on Facebook, expressing the family’s deep sadness and mentioning that Julianne had passed away after a courageous battle.
