Tom & Olly join SCA for Breakfast

Staff Writer

Melbourne comedians 'Tom & Olly' have been announced as the new Breakfast show for Southern Cross Austereo's Star FM in Albury.

Both in their early 20's and just out of university, Tom Bainbridge and Olly Morris join Star from Melbourne's SYN Media; the same station that launched the careers of Hamish Blake & Andy Lee.

In addition to hosting the Drive slot on SYN 90.7, Tom & Olly have performed in, and directed, multiple comedy revues and stand-up shows in Melbourne, including writing and producing their own Melbourne International Comedy Festival show in 2014 "Aardvark Mark After Dark".

Commenting on the new role with SCA, Tom said: "There's radio. Then there's radio with Tom & Olly. We're the latter".

Olly added "We'll knock your socks off, then put them back on again…we're kind of nice guys like that".

Southern Cross Austereo Albury General Manager Rod Winner said:

“Star FM Albury has had a terrific history in developing outstanding talent, and Tom and Olly will be no exception. The boys come to Albury with massive enthusiasm, unique humour and a real desire to become part of the Albury Wodonga community.

We are really looking forward to them starting with us and I’m sure listeners will warm to them very, very quickly.”

The "Tom & Olly" show launches on Star FM Albury on 2 February 2015.
