2GB’S Continuous Call Team marks 40 years with mega live broadcast
2GB’s Continuous Call Team (CCT) is celebrating 40 years of legendary banter, expert commentary and cultural impact – and to mark the milestone, CCT will host a nine-hour live outside broadcast at Canterbury League Club tomorrow (Saturday, July 25th) from 1:00pm to 10:00pm.
Fans are invited to join the crew as they take the stage to reminisce on 40 years of award-winning radio and then call two blockbuster NRL games live in front of a packed room.
For four decades, CCT has provided the soundtrack to many Australian winters.
The show is credited with revolutionising sports broadcasting by blending sharp match coverage with irreverent humour and banter – creating a weekend ritual across cars, workplaces and living rooms nationwide.

Highlights tomorrow include:
On-Stage Panel: Mark Levy, Darryl Brohman, Mark “Piggy” Riddell, Paul Gallen, Mark “MG” Geyer, Josh Morris and Chris Warren.
Dedicated tributes to CCT Founding Member and long-time ‘Captain’ Ray Hadley
Nostalgic guest contributions
Sideline legend Tony Megahey – live in the room.
Don Moseley returning to ‘Around the Grounds’ duties for the first time in a decade (3:00pm Raiders vs. Tigers).
A special on-air reunion with past CCT stalwarts John Gibbs and Andrew Moore
Phone appearances from CCT favourites Steven ‘Blocker’ Roach, Greg ‘Brandy’ Alexander and Ben Robertson (The Robertson Brothers).
Audio tributes from long-time CCT contributors Phil ‘Buzz’ Rothfield, Laurie Daley, Joel Caine, Peter Psaltis and Jamie Soward
Appearances by ARL Commission Chairman Peter V’Landys and Venues NSW Chairman David Gallop, who will make a special announcement
Full live match calls of Bulldogs vs. Warriors (5:30pm) and Cowboys vs. Broncos (7:35pm) on stage in front of a live audience.
The team will also honour late broadcasting icons who built the CCT legacy: Bob Fulton, Peter Frilingos, David Morrow and Tommy Raudonikis.
2GB Mornings presenter and CCT lead broadcaster Mark Levy said “For 40 years, The Continuous Call Team has been far more than a footy call – it’s been a weekend habit for millions of Australians. From classic stories to iconic archival clips, Saturday is about celebrating four decades of footy and banter with the listeners who made us.”
