TNT News and Radio to wrap up on Friday, for now

Online news and talk station TNT Radio, based out of the Gold Coast but broadcasting from and to the world 24/7, will wrap up this Friday, for now.

The station commenced at the start of 2022 with CEO Mike Ryan saying the station is unique in what it was doing:

“We are proud of our audio quality and production values, every presenter has a camera, mics the lot.

Someone describes us like a permanent outside broadcast because we are 24-7 live, every hour. From Bulgaria, Morocco, London, The States, Moscow. We have a news department, journos and a breakfast show from the UK. TNT has excellent content.”

That content will continue to be available. TNT were making in the vicinity of 320 audio and video podcasts a week, having done more than 50,000 interviews.

Mike was as open a person as the station’s ethos, saying that a lack of funds will see the end of TNT for now, but he remains committed to a platform that shares the facts.

“TNT was brave enough and big enough to tell the truth. Telling it as it is, not as you would like it to be. We’d make mistakes, but we’d own them. The world we live in doesn’t need us to make up stories.”
