Legends from Nova and Hit make TMN 30 Under 30 shortlist

Staff Writer

Music industry trade bible The Music Network has unveiled its 30 Under 30 shortlist.

Three from radio appear among the 50 finalists in the Media and Journalism category this year, including two from Southern Cross Austereo and one from NOVA Entertainment.

Jack Ball and Jake Powell from SCA’s Hit 105 Brisbane and Zach La Cava, executive producer of the Nova Network’s Smallzy’s Surgery, are one step closer victory.

All three have a fond reputation in the Australian music industry, so it’s no surprise.

Former SCA host Nic Kelly is also a finalist in the Entrepreneurs & Innovators category.

“Honestly, every submission was worthy this year. I wish we could have featured all of them, but that’s not how the 30 Under 30 game works,” said TMN publisher & editor, Jake Challenor.

“A huge thank you to everyone who entered, and to the judges for dedicating so much time over the past week to reviewing and scoring every submission, during an already demanding and challenging time. The end result is nothing short of inspiring.”

From the 50 finalists published today, the final 30 champs will be revealed on April 15.

With support from APRA AMCOS, Eventbrite, MTV, Sony Music, Universal Music and Warner Music, the TMN 30 Under 30 Awards are all about showcasing the next generation of leaders from a wide cross-section of the music business.
