Tim Ginever joins Stephen Rowe on FIVEaa Drive

The FIVEaa Sports Show will soon welcome Port Adelaide Football Club legend Tim Ginever to the microphone.

Ginever will join Stephen Rowe on weekdays between 4-6pm from Monday, 8th August.

“It’s about bloody time we’ve got a Port person on the show (which I know Rowey has been craving for so long),” said Ginever.

“I’m incredibly excited and humbled to be given such an amazing opportunity. I can’t wait to bring some great content to the show but most importantly, put a smile on people’s faces while I’m doing it.”

The FIVEaa Sports Show with Rowey & Timmy G will cover issues in sport and deliver insights into Adelaide’s local AFL teams.

Ginever played in seven premierships for Port Adelaide in a career spanning 314 league games.

Tim was Port Adelaide Captain from 1994-1997, Port Adelaide SANFL Coach from 2006-2009 (82 games), won the A.R. McLean Medal in 1994 and 1997 and was inducted into the SA Hall of Fame in 2015.

No stranger to the audience, Ginever first joined FIVEaa in 1994 as a part of the Sunday Roast.

Tim became a staple of the station’s commentary team in 2010 and has been a regular contributor to the Sports Show throughout the year.

Stephen is looking forward to being joined by Tim, despite his team.

“You know what? I suppose it’s about time and if it has to be anyone, it may as well be my old mate Timmy G,” said Rowe.

“He’s an absolute legend, the King of Alberton himself. It’s just a shame he couldn’t have played for a better team.”

“Timmy and I had plenty of great battles on field, I’m sure there’s plenty more to come off-field and we’re both looking forward to getting started.”

The FIVEaa Sports Show with Rowey & Timmy G will be heard on weekdays from 4pm-6pm from Monday 8th August.
