Tiffany Rouge departs Wave FM for NZ’s The Edge

Former Assistant Editor

Tiffany Rouge has secured a new gig, jumping across the ditch to New Zealand station The Edge.

She’s taken up a role announcing Weekends on the Auckland-based radio station, departing Wollongong’s Wave FM after 12 months as announcer/music director.

Tiff, who was named in Radio Today‘s Top New Talent to Watch in 2019, wraps up three years with Grant Broadcasters that included a stint at Hot 100 Darwin.

“I’m not one for sitting still that’s for sure!” she tells Radio Today.

“I’m keen to get back to the CHR format and this is a really good opportunity in a metro market.”

It’ll be Tiff’s third international market, having also spent time in the UK working in London for Radio X and the BBC.

The Edge network content director Ryan Rathbone tells Radio Today that he’s excited to have secured the talented announcer.

“It’s exciting to have someone with Tiffany’s experience joining us at The Edge, New Zealand radio will be a great challenge for Tiff good on her for being brave enough to give it a crack,” he says.

Tiff also hosts her own podcast Miss Adventurous, and in the latest episode she explains how the move came to be:

Tiff’s last show on Wave FM Drive will be this Friday, May 24.
