Three Questions: David Rogerson

It’s been a big 2015 in radio, and as the year wraps up we are asking a bunch of you three quick questions. Next up it’s David Rogerson, Group Content Director of Grant Broadcasters.

Biggest challenge facing your group, Grant Broadcasters in next 12-months?

We’re continuing to grow and develop our talent across a vast area of our programming operations.  Finding the right people to bring into our group  as the next Program and Content directors of the future while we actively promote internally is always a challenge. …. But what a great challenge to have !!

The year in review, what are you most pleased with from 2015.

Across all areas of our business we’ve won a vast array of state and community based awards, plus this year a record number of ACRA nominations and winners.

For our people to be recognised for what we love and do each day is a real bonus.  It shows that the skill set development and growth of our people has been paying off..  We’ve set the bar high for ourselves this year, so in 2016 there’s a huge challenge ahead of us,  but we’re up to it.

Favourite song of 2015

Wow – so many to choose from.  Australian talent has featured highly this year with great songs with everyone from Tame Impala to Vance Joy and Tina Arena. 

Then in the country music scene there’s Adam Harvey, the massive Lee Kernaghan  tribute to the ANZAC’s.  Then overseas you can’t deny the juggernaut of Taylor Swift’s 1989 album and the hits to come from it plus her recent Australian tour smash sell outs.
