Those Two Girls quit Breakfast on Hit90.9 Gold Coast

Staff Writer

Lise Carlaw and Sarah Wills will depart the Gold Coast’s Hit90.9 Brekkie Crew.

Carlaw and Wills remain with the Hit Network though, broadcasting their national early Breakfast program Those Two Girls from 5 to 6am on weekdays.

“Last year, when we accepted the network’s offer to join the Gold Coast breakfast show – it was a huge surprise, and we were excited but here’s the thing: it’s four hours of radio, two shows a day, there’s a lot of time and preparation behind the scenes.

“Plus, our families are in Brisbane – so there are personal commitments and logistics we have to consider,” Carlaw and Wills said in a joint statement.

“This is why we’re streamlining and are grateful to the Hit Network for allowing us to step away from the Brekkie Crew and focus our energy on our early breakfast show.

“The good news is you can still hear us when our 5-6am show, Those Two Girls – but it will just be the two of us! – and we’ll pass the baton over to Dan and Ben every weekday!”

Their last show on Hit90.9’s Brekkie Crew will be on July 17.

Dan Anstey and Ben Hannant will continue with no announcement of a replacement: yet.

Nice way of saying “We’ve been asked to replace Will and Woody on KIIS drive”

Will & Woody signed a new contract last year. Try again.

Sorry to upset you Will. You guys are safe, think Bianca and Mike who had two years left on their ARN contract – that safe.

I have zero interest in breakfast, I’m gonna focus on my 4 talk break middawn show. Seems legit!
BTW save all the travel bs, the entire industry knows you thought you were to good for the Goldie and never went there. Bye!

Bella Fizzmistergeneral is the obvious replacement. She’s the real deal and has a lot to offer. Put her on and splatter that tomato.

Those two girls is like listening to fingernails on a blackboard (is that politically correct?). I wouldn’t call listening to these two blabber-on about meaningless dribble like schoolkids at lunch, good news. The good news is the majority of the population is still asleep and I only have to turn the broadcast off for an hour before I can hear real radio.
