The Rush Hour on Triple M buys ‘rare’ double nugget

A double nugget (pictured) discovered by Gold Coast (Nerang) bloke Phil Campbell has been purchased by Triple M Brisbane and Gold Coast’s The Rush Hour with Leisel, Liam, and Dobbo.

It’s a deal that will see the two chicken nuggets encased in the same, greasy batter, have a protected home for life.

Phil’s granddaughter found the rare specimen in its oily box, and he quickly recognised its extraordinary value, posting in the Gold Coast community Facebook page: “Rare find – double nugget – for the discerning collector. Pick-up or post. Make an offer.”

Quick as a flash fry, Leisel, Liam and Dobbo knew they had to act, and snap this rare collectible up. They entered private and confidential negotiations, with a cracking result for both parties.

Phil is donating the undisclosed amount to his charity of choice, Choice Passion Life.
