The Marinator vs The Political Punisher

Mick "The Marinator" Newell from 7HOFM will head into the ring this Friday morning to take on the Tasmanian Leader of the Opposition, Will "The Political Punisher" Hodgman, in 'The Bridgewater Bash'.

Mick's training has apparently included "a solid diet of drive through food, some boxing against under 10’s at Adrian Lovell’s Boxing academy, and 2011 (AABL) Female under 17 champion Krystina Jacobs."

Will on the other hand has been training with Australian Olympic boxing champion Luke Jackson.

Mick said: “I have never pulled on boxing gloves before and I know Will was a good boxer at school, so this one might bite me on, or at least land me on my ass.”

Will said: “There’ll be no mucking around here mate, I’m playing to win! This is great preparation ahead of the state Election on March 15. I’m used to dodging punches and also landing some in the political arena and fairly confident of landing a few on Mick”
