Las Vegas rockers The Killers to play Triple M’s Garage Session

Staff Writer

The Killers are bound for an intimate set as part of Triple M’s Garage Session.

The popular series took a virtual format when the pandemic hit Australian shores, with recent performances by Rob Thomas, Amy Lee from Evanescence and Aussie band Something For Kate.

Aussie legends Ian Moss, Birds of Tokyo, Diesel and Screaming Jets have also performed. Now chart-topping Las Vegas rockers The Killers will entertain listeners during the lockdown.

“The Killers are one of the greatest rock bands of the modern era and we are honoured to be able to work with them to bring another world-class garage session performance to our Triple M listeners,” Southern Cross Austereo’s music head Mickey Maher said.

The band will also release their sixth album, Imploding the Mirage, in August. The Killers were also scheduled to tour Australia in November but the run was postponed due to COVID-19.

Fans have a chance to win their virtual ticket to the performance by listening to the station’s Kennedy Molloy drive show from 4pm to 6pm AEST weekdays.
